Assignments: RPG was chosen to supply tube welders on a 100% RT project at Plant Bowen, commonly known as Bowen Steam Plant, a coal-fired power station. Welding OB port water wall tubes, penthouse roof and sidewall dutchmen’s, our crew performed over 500 welds during the spring outage of 2019 with an excellent safety and quality record.

RPG provided specialty welding support for Southern Company’s Plant Bowen at their recent 2019 Spring Outage with zero safety incidents and excellent quality results.

Nuclear Power Industry Missile Shield Wall Fabrication

Since 2015, RPG has partnered with HII Mechanical at their fabrication facility in Newport News, VA, providing specialty fitting, welding, machining and inspection services for the Missile Shield Walls and Inner Tension Rings of Southern Company’s Plant Vogtle’s Units 2 and 3, along with other current projects.

Nuclear Power Industry- Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station

RPG has partnered with Arizona Public Service as the welding contractor for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Tonopah, AZ, supporting year round projects and every Spring/Fall Outage since 2014. RPG was chosen by APS to perform Palo Verde’s Fukushima modification turn key project from 2014 to 2015.

Fossil Fuel Industry - St. Charles Power Station

RPG supported McDermott at St. Charles Power Station for their new construction project to replace Thermowells after the steam blow. Our skilled machinists drilled out 46 Thermowell plugs with zero FME restrictions, ahead of schedule and on budget.
