- GAWCO, the union arm of RPG, was chosen to provide supervision, pipefitters and specialty welders in the construction of Dominion’s Cove Point LNG facility in Lusby, Maryland. GAWCO was proud to support Kiewit for the Cove Point LNG Export Project, which involved construction of liquefaction facilities for exporting LNG at the existing Cove Point LNG Terminal on the Chesapeake Bay.GAWCO also assisted in the pre-fab of spool pieces for the project in a large fab facility in Wisconsin for Kiewit. The majority of these welds were performed utilizing the specialized RMD welding process. We have partnered with Kiewit and their sister company, TIC on several projects.
