Assignments: RPG recently completed a complex machining project at the St Charles Power station in Louisiana where Thermowell plug removal was required with zero FME restrictions.Some of these 2-1/4 chrome plugs were 5” long. With no incidences, we completed the job 4 days ahead of schedule and on budget. The St. Charles Power Station is a new 980MW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant under construction in St. Charles Parish, approximately 48km west of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is expected to become one of the cleanest and most efficient power plants of Entergy, when operational in 2019.

RPG supported McDermott at St. Charles Power Station for their new construction project to replace Thermowells after the steam blow. Our skilled machinists drilled out 46 Thermowell plugs with zero FME restrictions, ahead of schedule and on budget.

Nuclear Power Industry- Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station

RPG has partnered with Arizona Public Service as the welding contractor for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Tonopah, AZ, supporting year round projects and every Spring/Fall Outage since 2014. RPG was chosen by APS to perform Palo Verde’s Fukushima modification turn key project from 2014 to 2015.
